Eccentrico at Fuorisalone 2026 Milan: The Sensory Lab, an immersive installation between ceramics and wellbeing

On the occasion of Fuorisalone 2026, Eccentrico presented The Sensory Lab, an immersive installation designed by Sara Ricciardi Studio within the Porta Venezia Design District, one of the main districts of Milan Design Week. A project that explores the relationship between material, perception and contemporary wellbeing, transforming ceramics into a sensory and narrative language.

An immersive experience between material and perception

The project explored the relationship between material and perception, activating a perceptual and relational dimension. Conceived as a welcoming and regenerative environment, the space invited visitors to slow down, pause and reconnect through surfaces, colours and everyday gestures.

The vision of Sara Ricciardi

Sara Ricciardi’s vision, developed together with her studio, shaped a coherent and immersive environment where narrative approach and design sensitivity intertwine. A project that moves across installation, interior and product design, translating the Eccentrico philosophy into a physical and perceptual experience.

Contemporary rituals and coffee station

Within the space, the presence of the specialty coffee station powered by Lelit and Mirabilia Coffee introduced an additional layer of interpretation: coffee as a contemporary ritual, a moment of pause and connection. A daily gesture that, within the installation, took on a more conscious, almost meditative dimension.

Eccentrico’s research on ceramic design

With The Sensory Lab, Eccentrico continues its research on ceramics as a material capable of going beyond function, entering a broader dimension where aesthetics, perception and wellbeing meet. A space where the project is not only seen, but experienced.
